1, Long Set Beach, Koh Rong
With 4-kilometer coastline and long white sand beach, Long Set is an ideal place for sunbathing, collecting shells and crabbing. You also have a chance to explore the marine life and rich coral under the sea with some water activities like snorkeling and diving in Cambodia. And, if you really want to see something special, hang around until nightfall; an evening dip in moonlight unveils a host of bio-luminescent plankton twinkling like an underwater Milky Way. From Sihanoukville, you can catch a boat riding to Koh Rong, heading to Long Set beach and taking 2 to 3 hours.
2, Lazy Beach, Koh Rong Saloem
Just two hours off the coast of Sihanoukville, catch a boat from the Serendipity Road pier and you’ll find the beautiful beaches of Koh Rong Saloem and Lazy Beach is a peaceful piece of paradise with the golden sand and clear blue waters which make for excellent daytime sunning. It is also highly recommended for swimming and other water activities. Evenings, you can watch the deep pink sunsets from the beach with a tropical cocktail in hand served by some bars on the beaches and enjoy private moments to couples and honeymooners. Especially, this beach is definitely for travelers that would prefer to be a bit more secluded from people or isolate themselves with a Robinson Crusoe style holiday when staying here and are the perfect place for an amazing sunset view.
3, Serendipity Beach, Sihanoukville
If you’ve had enough of lazing in the placid shimmering waters and snoozing in the silky golden sands, it’s time to head to Serendipity Beach. Dotted with quaint restaurants, beach bars and BBQ shacks, tourists tend to come here to socialize and take advantage of the beach parties which run late into the night. Located at the northern end of Ochheuteal Beach, Serendipity Beach is not such crowded as other beaches in Sihanoukville and also well known for its budget beachfront accommodations.
4, Otres Beach, Sihanoukville
About 20 minutes from Serendipity, Otres beach is one of the many picturesque Cambodian beaches and one of the quietest beaches in Sihanoukville. The sand here is fine and perfect for sun bathing while the water is clear and perfect for swimming and also is a perfect escape for honeymooners and couples. Hotels in the area ensure a great stay and plenty of seafood shacks and bars on this beach. When the nightlife at Serendipity is more active, here at Otres Beach it is more about having a few enjoyable beers in any one of the chilled bars.
5, Long Beach, Koh Rong
Long Beach (known as Sok San and 7km Beach) is one of the most popular beaches on Koh Rong - an island off Sihanoukville that boasts miles of scenic coastline and pristine beaches. This beach has calmer, quieter waters, small fishing villages and untamed forests. It is a beautiful and uncrowded place to enjoy the water or go snorkeling to spot busy marine life and a rich variety of flora and fauna, jump in a kayak to glide through some of the more remote areas. At night, you can immerse in the bright lights of the beach party for the underwater luminous glow of plankton when it is disturbed, which is a spectacular reason to visit after sunset.
6, Song Saa Private Island
